Surender Sekhon has a bachelor’s degree in math with a specialization in actuarial science. She has worked at Desjardins for 20 years. She started out as an actuarial advisor at Desjardins General Insurance Group and played a key role in integrating State Farm’s Canadian operations. She later became a manager, first leading a department focused on actuarial ratemaking and business solutions, and then one focused on underwriting operations. In 2018, she joined the Commercial Lines Division as Director, Actuarial Services and Underwriting and is now the vice-president of Commercial Lines at DGIG. Surender is a great team player and a natural leader. She’s known for her analytical skills and her ability to achieve strategic objectives.
